For some, it's high school. Particularly if those people are gay and in high school. We all know how understanding and compassionate teenagers are, right?
Jamey Rodemeyer found out pretty quickly. A few weeks after starting high school, the young teenager, who'd been ridiculed and bullied online and in person, killed himself. Some of those comments posted online told him he was going to hell for being gay.
Well, guess what? If a gay teen and a teen who relentlessly bullied that teen are standing in front of the pearly gates together, my money is on the gay teen getting into heaven. Loving God, loving your neighbor, not judging -- these are all pretty high in the stuff you need to do list.
So keep on with the hellfire and brimstone! Just realize that you're leading the way to hell.
